Open-source notices
Imgverter is built on open-source software. The components below are included in the pages or downloaded by them, and each is used under the licence named next to it. The licence texts are available from the linked repositories.
Components
- heic-to (LGPL-3.0): Reads HEIC and HEIF files. It bundles libheif and libde265 compiled to WebAssembly, both under the LGPL-3.0; the module is loaded separately from the rest of the site the first time a HEIC file is opened, so it can be replaced with another build of the same library.
- libheif (LGPL-3.0): HEIF container and image decoding, used through heic-to.
- libde265 (LGPL-3.0): HEVC decoding for HEIC pictures, used through heic-to.
- utif2 (MIT): Reads TIFF files.
- JSZip (MIT): Packs the pieces from the image splitter into one ZIP file.
- Next.js and React (MIT): The framework the pages are built with.
LGPL components
heic-to, libheif and libde265 are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3. You may obtain their source code from the repositories linked above, and the full licence text at gnu.org/licenses/lgpl-3.0.html. These libraries are not modified by this site. They are shipped as a separate script module that the browser fetches on demand, which keeps them replaceable by a different build of the same library as the LGPL requires.
