About Imgverter
Imgverter is a set of small, single-purpose image tools: compress to a file size, resize to exact dimensions, crop, convert between formats, merge several pictures into one, and split one picture into a grid.
How it works
Every tool runs in your web browser. When you choose a file, the page reads it from your device, processes it using your device’s own processor and memory, and offers the result as a download. The image is not sent to a server at any point. You can confirm this by loading a tool page, switching your device to airplane mode, and using the tool: it keeps working. (HEIC files are the one exception on non-Apple browsers, which need to fetch a decoder once before they can read that format.)
Why it was built this way
People often need to shrink or reshape personal documents: ID photos, signatures, certificates. Uploading those to an unknown server just to change a file size is an unnecessary risk. Processing on the device removes that risk and is usually faster, especially on a slow connection.
What to expect
- No account, no watermark, no limit on the number of files.
- Results that respect the limit you set: a compressed image is never larger than the size you asked for.
- Photos that stay upright, with hidden metadata such as location removed from the output.
- Pages designed for phones first, including older and slower ones.
